Let black have texture
An all-dark outfit becomes more interesting when the surfaces differ. Washed cotton, denim, leather and knitwear reflect light differently and give a skull or ghost graphic room to stand out.
Mix one clean element with worn pieces
A crisp trouser, simple coat or clean sneaker can sharpen distressed artwork. The contrast keeps the outfit current instead of making every piece compete to look vintage.
Use the print palette
Pull a faded cream, rust or gray from the artwork into one layer or accessory. Repeating a secondary color makes a dark tee easier to combine with the rest of your wardrobe.
Choose scale for the occasion
A large central graphic feels louder than a small chest print. For casual nights or concerts, go bold; for everyday layering, let a jacket crop the artwork and lower the visual volume.
Avoid forced distressing
The graphic already supplies age and texture. You rarely need ripped denim, heavy hardware and multiple distressed layers at once. One or two worn elements are enough.
